The NHS Highland CAMHS team are staying active to support our physical and mental health during the lockdown and to raise much needed funds for MFR Cash for Kids!
We are planning as a group to walk / run the “Virtual NC500” covering the equivalent of the 516 miles of the North Coast 500 route as many times as we can between the 1st and 30th June 2020. Due to COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, the team will be doing the miles out and about in Inverness and the surrounding areas with some clinicians even taking on parts of the actual route which is near their homes.
So far we have 28 “Phoenix Warriors” signed-up:
Ann McPaul, Tracy McGlynn, Lindsay Chalton, Donna Youngson, Aodhan Gallagher, Stephanie Bannon, Penelope Noel, Clodagh Feehan, Struan Simpson, Jenny Munro, Evie Johnston, Stephanie Garnham, Steve Spence, Naomi Mackay, Terry Veitch, Katrina Tickle, Jane Hosie, Laura Smith, Vivienne Harte, Kath Fraser, Michelle Rankin, Frances Thomson, Karen Smith, Mairi MacDonald, Abbie Mackintosh, Sue Marklew, Debbie Mackay and our Team Leader Wendy van Riet!
We will put weekly updates on this page so that you can track our progress towards our goal.
We thought this would be a great way to raise some money for our local charity, MFR Cash for Kids, so they can continue to make a real difference to the lives of local children and families. Cash for Kids relies on local fundraising to support children and young people under 18 across the North of Scotland with a focus on alleviating poverty, supporting disability and improving quality of life.
Any amount you care to give is very much appreciated. It would be great if you could leave a photo or video support message to get our team doing as many laps of the North Coast 500 route as possible.
