Help the Busby Boys dreams come true

Help Charlie and Harry's dreams come true

Meet Charlie and Harry, two beautiful little boys both who have Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD)

DMD is the most common form of muscle disease in children. Unfortunately, it’s also one of the most severe.  Muscular Dystrophy is a disease that leads to progressive deterioration of muscle fibres. It’s caused by the body’s inability to produce dystrophin, a protein that’s essential to keep muscles intact. DMD usually develops at an early age and worsens quickly. The gluteal muscles and thighs are usually weakened first, which means the ability to walk is likely to be affected.

Charlie and Harry need lots of things to help them in their daily life as their condition progresses.  Charlie now has a power chair that he loves and we are fundraising to buy another for Harry.  Charlie has trouble sleeping so we would like some twinkly stars and sensory equipment for his ceiling to help him drift off easier and have lovely dreams.

The boys are typical little lads who like Superheroes and being cheeky :)

A lovely group of friends have decided to take on a 22 mile walk to raise money towards the boys dreams and we are very grateful.

Thank you for reading xx
