Story

On Wednesday 22nd April, Smarta Energy will be taking on a simple question:

๐—›๐—ผ๐˜„ ๐—ณ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ ๐—ฐ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ฟ๐˜‚๐—ป ๐—ถ๐—ป ๐—ฎ ๐˜„๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ธ๐—ถ๐—ป๐—ด ๐—ฑ๐—ฎ๐˜†?

From 9am to 5pm, our Group Managing Director, Kieran Dixon, will be on a treadmill for 8 hours straight as part of the Running 9โ€“5 challenge, all in support of Cash for Kids North & West Yorkshire.

At Smarta Energy, the team works closely with businesses every day, but this challenge is about stepping outside of that and doing something that makes a real difference. Cash for Kids supports children and families who need it most, and this felt like a challenge worth pushing for.

๐—ž๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐—ป ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—บ๐—บ๐—ฒ๐—ป๐˜๐—ฒ๐—ฑ:

"We wanted to do something that genuinely challenges us, not just physically, but in terms of the impact we can make. If we can raise meaningful funds and awareness while doing it, itโ€™s absolutely worth it."

The team is aiming to raise ยฃ10,000+, and every donation, big or small, will go directly towards supporting those who need it most.

Alongside the fundraising, Smarta Energy will also be marking Earth Day by funding a tree for every kilometre completed.
