Help Us Create a Society Where Everyone Can Take Part! π
Disabled children and young people face barriers every single day β to playing, learning, taking part in sports, and even just making friends.
Exclusion is more than a lack of ramps β itβs rooted in physical, social and attitudinal barriers which affect confidence, independence, and overall well-being.
1 in 5 people in Northern Ireland live with a disability π
For many disabled children, everyday childhood experiences that others take for granted are out of reach. They often face:
- No place to play: Playgrounds, sports and arts venues, etc, often arenβt designed with their needs in mind.
- Being left out: They watch siblings and friends take part in sports and leisure activities they canβt join, as they aren't adapted/accessible.
- Fewer chances to make friends: Social opportunities are limited, especially ones that enable them to attend independently of parents/carers, leaving them without peer connections.
- Feeling isolated: Many spend more time at home, leading to loneliness and fewer shared childhood experiences.
When children canβt access the same opportunities as their peers, siblings often miss out too, meaning everyoneβs social life and well-being is affected.

This year marks 10 years of Creating Change Together, and we are fundraising for something huge β our first-ever fully accessible hub.
This hub will be a home for inclusion β a space where everyone, regardless of ability, can take part, have fun, and make friends. It will allow us to run year-round inclusive programmes, reach even more families who need us, and continue to grow our services.
Thanks to the Community Challenge with Cash for Kids, we'll get to keep everything we raise, and there's a top prize of Β£5,000 extra for the group that raises the most!
After donating, weβd love if you could leave a photo or video message of support β and share our page to encourage others to donate too!
Thank you for supporting our cause!
