My Story

Hi there, welcome to my fundraising page… make yourself at home :-)

Have a look below; you can see updates about my fundraising, how it’s all going and hopefully some messages from other sponsors too.

I’m raising money to support MFR Cash for Kids so they can make a real difference to the lives of local childreSo what am I going to.do well fundraising runs in the family as my grandad was an avid fundraiser and I thought I would follow in his footsteps.
I thought long and hard and I wanted to make it as challenging as possible. Everyone knows I hate walking of any sort so this challenge will be a massive challenge.
I plan do to 40 munroes before I am 40 in Feb 2020.
Andrew is doing to do it with me and a few friends will be joining in along the way. Guys dig deep and even a quid for each munroe would be amazing ;)

16th feb 2019. Well I have completed my first 2 munroes today. Wow this challenge will be tricky. I thought that I was going to collapse at certain points as well as wanting to go back down half way. I didnt and with every step i reminded myself to why I was doing this. Today we completed cairnwell and the aosda (i think that is how its called).
18th feb 2019 - stupidly I said to the giant that I was keen to complete another munroe. Im not sure why I say these things out loud, I need to learm to just stay quiet. We arrived at the ski centre at about 12 noon and I quickly relised that this was going to challenge me. Snow under foot and ice made some parts super challenging and the words I was saying underneath my breath cannot be repeated. But we dod it in under 3hrs. The next munroe will be in a few weeks due to work but I am super excited to have done 3 in one weekend.

20/4/19
Today we desided to do 4 munros up the Cairngorm. We were going to camp over night and walk back in the morning. The climb up was much harder than I imagined even Andrew found it hard. On getting to the first Munro the weather took a turn and we had to stop in our tracks at 6pm and camp down as we couldnt see anything. In the morning we got up goping to do the other 3 but the weather still hadnt cleared so at 10am we decided to just pack up and walk the 5 hrs back. Glad we did as the wind was blowing and I struggled to stay upright. I also got a nastie bite which required a wee visit to the docs. 10% of the challenge complete and it may kill me but i am going to give it my best shot.
