Hey, welcome to my fundraising page!

If you don’t already know me, my name’s Chris Gatrell and in November 2026 I’ll be attempting something a little bit crazy…

I’m going to try to run, walk and crawl from Land’s End to John o’ Groats in just over two weeks. That’s roughly 60 miles a day, every day😅

Why am I doing this?

As a parent to two young children, Christmas is a magical time in our house. But recently it really hit home that for many families, Christmas is not filled with excitement – it’s filled with worry.

There are children and young people in our own communities who go without the basics, and who face challenges most of us can’t imagine. I couldn’t stop thinking about that… and on 1st January 2026, I decided to do something about it.

Who am I supporting?

I’m raising money for Cash for Kids (North East), an incredible charity that supports local children and families who are struggling. Every penny raised in our area stays in our area!
