Hello, I am jenny special guardian nanna to my 3 grandchildren, we have recently created a tiktok page (LifewiththeCollys) were we share our guardianship daily life whilst also trying to raise awareness around the growing rise of of guardianship families. These are people like nyself who have chose to take on full time care of a child/ren who are not biologically their own to save to them from being raised in the care system. It's not adoption but is sometimes known as soft adoption.

My grandchildren haven't had an easy life by far but they are now settled. Sadly this isn't this case for alot of children especially this year, there are so many families struggling to give there children a present at christmas time.
We want to help with that so have joined up with cashforkids in the hopes we can raise as much as possible. I will be adding to this with the children by doing a shopping challenge which we will document on our tiktok page, please give us a follow if you would like to see the video of the challenge.
On the 13th dec 2025 the girls will have 10 minutes to add as many toys to their shopping trolley all which will be paid for by myself as our donation/giving something this christmas, all the toys will then be donated to cashforkids.
If we can reach our target goal of donations here I will match or more the amount on toys in store.
I hope by doing this not only will we help children this christmas but it will be a life lesson to my grandchildren of the importance of helping those less fortunate when you can, they have been very much involved with the planning so they have gained some insight into goal setting, creating, ideas etc but more importantly it will give them a forever reminder of the good they did for others, how being kind and caring is so important in a fast changing world today.
