Our Story

A small group of us decided to set ourselves a target to raise money and support Northsound Cash for Kids in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire so they can make a real difference to the lives of local children and young people.

Everything raised in our area stays in our area, with a focus on alleviating poverty, supporting disability and improving quality of life. Any amount you care to give is very much appreciated. The majority of the group juggle family life and careers, so time is limited to get the runs!!

None of us are athletes and we want to challenge ourselves to stay fit and active so we can raise as much money as we can for this great charity.

Our aim is to run as many 10k races as we can (including Garioch, Balmoral, Baker Hughs and the Aberdeen Great Run) in the run up to running the Fraserburgh half marathon in November.

We all have different abilities and commitments but hope to collectively run at least 2,000 miles this year combining our training runs with the 10k races and half marathon.

We will each be giving updates on our social media and you can see our progress through following our on Strava (Deeside Lassies).
