I’m raising money to support Northsound Cash for Kids in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire so they can make a real difference to the lives of local children and young people.

Everything raised in our area stays in our area, with a focus on alleviating poverty, supporting disability and improving quality of life. Any amount you care to give is very much appreciated. After you sponsor me, it would be great if you could leave me a photo or video support message too!

A bit about the history....
In 2018 I organised a charity football match to raise funds for Cash for Kids. This involved ex-Aberdeen players and “normal” players. With an aim to keep it exciting and competitive I decided to mix it up and have the players mixed through each team which leads to more entertainment for the fans. It was such a success that I did it again in 2019, due to horrific weather in 2019 we thought we were going to have to cancel the morning of the match after the pitch inspection. However, Cove Rangers FC came to the rescue and offered their stadium (AstroTurf so no problem in the rain). We were in full organisation mode for 2020 when Covid-19 hit so obviously everything had to go on hold. We were back for the 2022 match and smashed the £2,000 target, we raised just under £2,800! The event grew again in 2023 raising just over £3,100.

I personally feel this is such a worthy cause. Cash for Kids have seen an increase in demand over Covid-19, however, with the cost of living crisis, unfortunately this has only made it even harder for families. They have seen increasing demand and have limited resources so they need your help!

Due to Craig Brown's passing in 2023, it felt right to rename the event the Craig Brown Cup. Craig had been a wonderful support since the first match in 2018 managing the blue team (and winning 3 times out of the 4 matches). He always made time to catch up and go over anything I wanted to discuss, I feel truly honoured to have had his involvement.

The 2024 match is going to be held on Sunday 2th June at Balmoral Stadium (Cove Rangers FC grounds). Gates open at 2pm with kick off at 3pm. Due to the the growth of the event, it is now easier to plan more effectively if ticketed. We've kept cost at a minimum to keep it as accessible for all as possible; adults are £5 each (plus £1 booking fee) and children go free.
