Hi 👋

Welcome to my fundraising page! My name is Julie and as well as being mum to four amazing teenagers and wife to my wonderful husband Iain, I am a keen ultra runner and wanted to use my running as a way to fundraise for a charity that does important work in our local community. Radio Tay Cash for Kids Tayside and Fife is that charity - making a real difference to the lives of local children and young people when they need it most. I know I can run long distances so wanted to put together a series of challenges that are really going to test me and require a massive commitment to training - challenges that I don’t know if I can complete. Your sponsorship and support will be a massive boost along the way.

Over the next 6 months I plan to attempt to run 160miles up and down The Wrekin Hill in Shropshire in 48 hours in December 2025. This will involve roughly 47,000ft of elevation gain - over one and a half times Mount Everest! In March 2026 I will attempt to run 200 miles in Combe Down tunnel in 55 hours and in May 2026 I will attempt to run 200 miles back and forth across the Old Severn Bridge in 55 hours. No women have ever completed this challenge, I hope to show it can be done 💪

These challenges are all a build up to The Big Challenge in June 2026 when I attempt the North Coast 500 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 An iconic road trip around the coast of Northern Scotland, starting and finishing at Inverness Castle, a route that has only been completed by a handful of people on foot. I aim to complete the whole route in 7 days and gain the female fastest known time (there currently isn’t one).
