Hi, and welcome to our story.
We are Sporting KG, a not-for-profit under-10 football club built on love, community, and a dream.
This is our only team, and it was created in honour of Kevin Gillett. Kevin started the club for his son Oliver – to give him a place to learn football, make friends, and build memories that would last a lifetime. For Kevin, it was also about something even more precious: spending more time with his boy, side by side, sharing the game they both loved.
Tragically, Kevin passed away after a brave battle with cancer. But his vision lives on. Today, a group of dedicated volunteers carry his dream forward, making sure every child has the chance to play, grow, and belong.
We need your help to keep that dream alive.
The Cash for Kids Sports Challenge is more than just a fundraiser – it’s the lifeblood of our club. Without it, we simply couldn’t exist. Training facility hire alone is a huge cost, before you even begin to add league fees, equipment, kits, tournaments, and all the little extras that make football magical for children.
Every pound you give helps us provide opportunities, joy, and hope – not just for our players today, but for the legacy Kevin created.
