Our Story 💗🏸
Grantham Badminton Club has been part of our local community since the 1960s, and we’re incredibly proud that, more than 60 years later, we’re still bringing people together through badminton.
We’re a completely volunteer-run community club, and while badminton is at the heart of what we do, our club has always been about so much more than what happens on court. It’s about friendships, confidence, belonging, and giving children, young people, and adults somewhere they can come each week and feel part of something.
We work hard to keep our junior and youth sessions affordable because we never want cost to be the reason a young person misses out. As our club continues to grow, we want to create even more opportunities — developing our volunteer coaches, improving equipment, providing more court time and helping families who may otherwise struggle with the cost of taking part.
That’s why being selected as a finalist in the Cash for Kids Sports Challenge means so much to us. ❤️
Over the next few weeks, our whole badminton family will be coming together to raise as much as we possibly can for Cash for Kids, culminating in our biggest challenge yet — a 24-hour Badminton-a-thon! 🏸⏰
Our juniors, members, No Strings players, parents, coaches and volunteers will all play their part. Nobody will be playing for 24 hours alone! Instead, we’ll work together to keep badminton going throughout the challenge — one club, one team, supporting one another every step of the way.
For more than six decades, our community has supported Grantham Badminton Club. Now we have the opportunity to come together and give something back.
