For almost 50 years, West Lothian RDA has been providing therapeutic riding opportunities for participants with physical and learning disabilities.
Every week, our volunteers, horses and coaching team come together with one simple aim: to make each participant's session the best 30 minutes of their week.
This year alone, 86 volunteers supported 55 regular weekly participants, helping them build confidence, develop skills, achieve personal goals and enjoy the unique partnership that comes from working with horses.
As an independent, self-funded charity, everything we do is made possible through the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity of our supporters.
This year, West Lothian RDA is taking part in the Cash for Kids Sporting Challenge, raising funds to help ensure we can continue providing opportunities for our participants for years to come.
As part of our fundraising efforts, we'll be hosting a New & Pre-Loved Toy Sale at Livingston Designer Outlet on 13th September, before two members of our team take fundraising to new heights with a skydive on 1st November.
New & Pre-Loved Toy Sale
We've got a mountain of new and pre-loved toys, generously donated by our wonderful volunteers and participants, and we'd love to find them some new homes.
Whether you're looking for a birthday gift, getting organised for Christmas, or simply hoping to pick up a bargain, there will be plenty of toys waiting to be discovered.
Join us on Sunday 13th September, from 9am to 5pm at Livingston Designer Outlet (while stock lasts). Cash and card payments will be accepted, and every purchase will help support West Lothian RDA.
Meet Our Skydivers
On 1st November, Trustee and Group Coach Frances and Trustee and Coach in Training Claire will be stepping outside their comfort zones and taking part in a skydive to support West Lothian RDA.
Between them, they dedicate countless hours to supporting our participants, volunteers and horses, helping to ensure that every session is a positive and rewarding experience.
Now they are swapping riding boots for parachutes to help raise vital funds for the group they care so deeply about.
