Welcome to Northern Hope Gymnastics Centre’s Cash for Kids Sports Challenge page!

We’re a community gymnastics club in Birtley where children come to move, learn, make friends and discover what they’re capable of. From a preschooler taking their first brave steps into the gym to a young gymnast working towards competition, we want every child to feel that they belong here.

We’ve been selected to take part in the North East Cash for Kids Sports Challenge, and we’re raising money to help more local children, including those who face financial barriers, get active and enjoy gymnastics.

A big part of making that possible is investing in the people who welcome and support them. Your donations will help us provide training for our coaches, staff and young leaders, including first aid and other practical training that helps them run safe, supportive and engaging sessions. Our young leaders are already role models to the children they help each week. Giving them the chance to develop their skills means they can grow in confidence while helping the next generation do the same.

Every penny we raise comes back to our club. That could make a huge difference to what we can offer local children.

The Challenge runs from 26 September to 26 October 2026. We’ll share our fundraising updates here along the way. If you can donate, sponsor us or share this page, you’ll be helping us build a stronger club and create more opportunities for children in our community.
