Story

Fisherton Primary and EYC are taking part in Clyde 1's Step Around Scotland in aid of Cash for Kids Day to help make sure no local child goes hungry during the school holidays this year.

We are a Rights Respecting School and we believe every child has the right to nutritious food so they can have the best possible health. We know that all children have the right to relax and play. We want to support Cash for Kids in making sure local children don't miss out on food or fun experiences because of poverty.

For some the holidays aren’t filled with days out, fun activities and full stomachs. They can be lonely, sad and full of worry, as they see their parents struggling to find enough money to keep them fed. That's why all the money raised this Cash for Kids Day will fund projects in Glasgow, Ayrshire and the West of Scotland helping to provide food and fun for every child, so no-one misses out.

We will be out walking the streets around Fisherton and Dunure on Tuesday 29th April to build up our steps. We would be delighted if any members of the community wanted to join us!
