Eligibility Criteria

Please be aware that our Cash for Kids appeal fund is only available for children who have a genuine need for support; suffering from food and fuel poverty due to the effect of COVID-19.

Who can apply?

This Cash for Kids appeal encourages applications from a wide range of service providers who support vulnerable children. This will include representatives from social services, school, health professionals, charities and projects that have governance documentation including a constitution.

Applications must be made by a service providing organisation and not directly from the person/s responsible for the children. (i.e. parents or guardians)

The service provider must be capable of making an assessment of need, supervising the grant to ensure it is fully spent to meet the needs of the child / children or young person and commit to providing a sample case study and detail of the children supported within 6 months.

We are putting our trust in the service provider to ensure we reach the families who need it the most. We ask that you ensure the children you are applying for have not already been referred to us at this time for support with food, fuel and basic essentials insecurity. We can only accept one referral per child, please ensure the child has NOT had a successful Covid – 19 related grant from another source.

Please note; All evidence relating to the application process and distribution of grants must be kept for audit purposes and must be uploaded as part of your application. This may take the form of a bank statement showing purchases made or copies of receipts. Cash for Kids will audit a sample of service providers within 2 years and this information must be provided.  Information must be held on file for 6 years by organisations.
