Story

Welcome to our fundraising page. Our Champions programme is trying to raise enough money to purchase a bleed kit for Accrington as part of Operation Sceptre. Operation Sceptre is the code name given to knife crime awareness week and a handful of our Champions clients are aiming to walk 10 miles on 17th November 2025 to raise as much money towards this cause as possible.

Bleed kits are essential first aid tools designed to manage severe bleeding. They contain specialized equipment like tourniquets and pressure bandages and are crucial in emergency situations where time is critical, as they allow responders to control bleeding effectively before professional medical help arrives.

On Monday 17th November 2025, our Champions mentors and their mentees are walking from the Stanley Sports Hub to Blackburn Cathedral where they will end their route at the Knife Bench, placing their own weighted sculpture next to the bench and leaving messages of reflection. Any money you can donate towards this cause would help these young people reach their target and ensure that Accrington can purchase a bleed kit that can be critical when it comes to saving lives.
