Help Us Keep Our Community Safe with #kNOwKnifeCrime
Since July 2023, schools in the Southport Learning Trust have come together to support #kNOwKnifeCrime — a youth campaign focused on educating and empowering young people with vital, life-saving knowledge. At the heart of this work is a shared commitment to keeping our young people safe and giving them the confidence to make positive, informed choices.
Why Your Support Matters
In 2023, our schools raised an incredible £5,200 to fund bleed control kits and cabinets outside school grounds. Building on that success, April 2024 saw us join forces with schools across Sefton, raising £30,000 and enabling 86 bleed control kits and cabinets to be installed across the area.
In 2025, we carried this momentum forward by funding first aid training through the Mini Medics programme, equipping pupils with practical skills to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
In 2026, we are carrying on with our efforts and once again joining forces with the #kNOwKnifeCrime campaign. Our aim is clear: to educate as many young people as possible on the dangers of knife crime and to ensure they know exactly what to do if they are ever faced with a medical emergency. With your support, we can reach more pupils, strengthen awareness, and continue making a real, lasting difference.
I’m incredibly excited to be running the London Marathon this year. It’s something I’ve always wanted to do and although I enjoy running, I’ve never actually run further than 7 miles, this is a huge challenge for me!
As Head of School at Kew Woods, I’m passionate about helping children feel safe, confident, and prepared for the world around them. That’s why I’m proud to support the #kNOwKnifeCrime campaign, raising money to train children in lifesaving first aid skills. These sessions give our pupils the knowledge and confidence to make safer choices and take positive action in difficult situations.
Taking on the marathon also gives me the opportunity to show our children that with hard work, determination, and the courage to aim for a new goal, they can achieve incredible things they never thought possible.
Every donation, no matter the size, will help fund vital first aid training for our children. Your support will motivate me through the long training miles and all the way to the finish line in London!
Thank you so much for cheering me on and supporting this important cause.
Let’s make a difference together.
