Story

Staff and young people from the Champions youth engagement programme at Wigan Athletic Community Trust are taking on a charity bike ride to raise funds to purchase a bleed control kit for The Brick Community Stadium.

The ride will take place on the 28th of November, with the Latics representatives travelling from Southport to The Brick Community Stadium.

The fundraiser will help to support the purchase of a bleed control cabinet for The Brick Community Stadium. These cabinets can be a real lifeline in emergencies where someone is losing blood, giving seconds that could save lives.

The challenge is part of a wider fundraising campaign from the Lancashire Violence Reduction Network, aiming to lead to the installation of bleed control cabinets at nine Lancashire football clubs, with each club taking on their own fundraising challenge.

The Champions programme supports young people across Lancashire who have experience of or at risk of offending behaviours, it helps them build confidence, set goals, and make positive changes in their lives.
