THEY CARE FOR OTHERS - HELP US CARE FOR THEM. 🐴❤️

Hi, and welcome to our Cash for Kids Sports Challenge fundraising page!

There are hundreds of young carers living on the Isle of Wight.

They are children and teenagers who may help care for a parent, brother, sister or another family member living with illness, disability or mental health difficulties.

While their friends are worrying about homework, sports or what they're doing at the weekend, a young carer may be cooking dinner, doing the housework, helping with medication, looking after younger siblings, providing personal care or simply being the person someone at home depends upon.

They deserve some time to just be young.

Wight Horse CIC is raising money through Cash for Kids to provide Isle of Wight young carers with special 3-hour horse care and riding sessions at Island Riding Centre.

For three hours, we want them to be able to leave their caring responsibilities behind.

🐴 Learn to ride and care for horses
❤️ Spend time with young people who understand their lives
🤝 Make friends and build lasting friendships
🌱 Develop confidence and resilience
🧠 Learn to understand and regulate their emotions
⭐ Discover a new skill and hobby
😊 Have fun
⏰ And, most importantly, have some time for themselves.
